My name is Ms. Janine Danielle Hogan. I am the CEO and Founder of Empowered Educators, Incorporated. My passion for educating and healing our youth stemmed from my early stages of childhood, when I first played school with my late great-grandmother, Thelma Whitlock Hampton, and engaged in teaching in real time during the national holiday, “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.”
Empowered Educators organization is set apart through our authentic social/emotional learning programs and behavior intervention services that empower the lives of at-risk and marginalized youth to overcome early traumatic life experiences that often impede student academic achievement and positive behavior outcomes. We also support and provide coaching/feedback to teachers who seek interest implementing our unique programs into their classroom management plans and overall philosophy for teaching. Members of our board consist of veteran, passionate K-12, certified and experienced educators who are devoted to teach a mind, touch a heart, and change a life.
In addition to organizing with the nonprofit, I am also an elementary education teacher, mentor teacher, peer-confidant, and instructional coach. I possess an Associate of Applied Science from Jefferson Community and Technical College, a Bachelor of Elementary Education, and a Master of Teacher Leadership with a certificate in Diversity Literacy from the University of Louisville. My most recent undertaking consists of pursuing my Doctorate of Educational Leadership with the University of the Cumberlands. My anticipated graduation date is May 2026.
